Middlesex University Dubai (MDX) has been awarded 5 Stars in the 2022 KHDA Higher Education Classification developed in partnership with QS.
MDX is also celebrating being Dubai’s largest UK university for total student enrolments for the 2021-2022 academic year, according to KHDA’s latest Open Data about the growth of KHDA-licensed institutions in Dubai. These are a few other key achievements:
- The groundbreaking Insights Lab for data science research and education was awarded the Smart Data Excellence Award in Education at the Smart Data Summit PLUS 2021
- Premiere de MDX Studios, MDX’s student film festival, returned live to Roxy Cinemas City Walk after two years. Over 120 students, parents, faculty, family and friends turned out to support the future stars of the global film industry
- Nearly 100 of the university’s students undertook life-changing internships at Expo 2020 Dubai. Aside from gaining valuable work experience, many students were also recognised individually by the Expo team for their exemplary conduct and hard-working attitudes
- Fashion Design students were victorious in the Fashion Revolution UAE Student Competition. Aleena Sudheer and Aysha Nargis came in second place for their innovative fashion designs
Nearly 100 of the university’s students undertook life-changing internships at Expo 2020 Dubai
- Juliette Martinez, a Class of 2021 IT graduate, was honoured by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority for her university project investigating the most common reasons for road accidents in the emirate. Juliette received the Best Academic Project award for her work on improving transport safety
- Media students won a series of major industry awards. Angelica Banares, Arjun Radeesh, and Abbas Razak were the three winners of Canon Middle East’s Aktashif 2.0 creative careers competition. Mariam Eldaly received the Outstanding Student Campaign Award at the 2022 Arabic Communications MEPRA Awards
