It’s the most wonderful time of the year and the student choir at Dubai Heights Academy kicked off the beginning of the Winter Break in the best way possible, bringing their festive cheer to the lobby of Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort on the evening of 8 December 2022.
Decked out in their Christmas hats, the 87-strong choir of students ranging from Year 3 to Year 9 sang and danced their hearts out to a captivated audience of hotel guests and proud parents, before counting down to the magnificent Christmas tree being lit, officially marking the start of the joyful holiday season.

This is a very special occasion in the Dubai Heights Academy calendar and each year the students really look forward to attending tree-lighting events at various hotels. Led by Deborah Bannister, Head of Music, this year the choir began their rehearsals weeks ahead of schedule to perfect their performance, with popular songs such as Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree, A Holly Jolly Christmas, Rudolf the Red-nosed Reindeer, and Feliz Navidad, to name just a few.
All in all, the students had an amazing time at this heart-warming event, spreading love and cheer to the community this holiday season.
