North London Collegiate School Dubai is delighted to announce that our esteemed Vice Principal Pastoral Care, Emma Dawson, has won the Leadership Award at the first ever TES Awards for International Schools.
These awards highlight the most outstanding schools and teachers the global education community has to offer. The shortlisted schools and teachers were representing 36 countries across the world.
The winners have been selected by a panel of expert judges including school leaders, experts, and education researchers. After rigorous judgement from a strict set of criteria, it has been revealed that Emma Dawson, Vice Principal Pastoral Care has won the Leadership Award.
Judge John Gwyn Jones MBE commended Emma for her support of diversity within the school and commitment to student wellbeing.
Since joining NLCS Dubai in 2019, Emma Dawson has been pivotal in shaping the school’s ethos and identity, emphasising student care, support and safety. Her dedication to maintaining high personal standards and nurturing other leaders has profoundly impacted our school community.
Emma’s leadership of the pastoral programme is characterised by her infectious drive and enthusiasm. Known and loved by the entire NLCS community and the broader educational community of Dubai, she has been instrumental in ensuring every student at NLCS Dubai is recognised as an individual and receives tailored guidance and support.
Under Emma’s guidance, the school has developed a broad range of activities promoting wellbeing, underpinned by an effective pastoral care system. This holistic approach to education has cultivated an environment where students feel safe, trusted and valued, and where they learn to be caring, courteous and considerate.
