Programme launched in partnership with various industry and academic partners, including PowerSchool, to enhance teachers’ AI skills

As the world increasingly embraces the revolutionary possibilities of artificial intelligence (AI), education is at the forefront of this technological shift. In the UAE, this transformation is driven by the visionary leadership that has given rise to the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence. This plan aims to accelerate AI adoption, further solidifying Dubai’s status as the world’s fastest, most agile, and future-ready city.

Program aligns with the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence goals

AI offers new opportunities in the classroom, helping educators personalise learning to meet individual student needs. In alignment with the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence initiative and the recent announcement by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, to enhance teachers’ AI capabilities, the ‘AI in My Classroom – Teacher Incubator Programme’ will be held on 5-6 October 2024 at the University of Wollongong in Dubai. The innovative programme will transform how educators work and teach, and how students learn.

Empowering Educators to Shape the Future

The ‘AI in My Classroom – Teacher Incubator Programme’ is a partnership between the ENAI WG Centre for Academic Integrity’s UAE AI Ethics Lab, the University of Wollongong in Dubai, PowerSchool, the European Network for Academic Integrity, and various academic and industry partners. It is designed to equip K-12 teachers across the UAE with the knowledge and tools to integrate AI into their classrooms. The programme will benefit both teachers and students, helping educators create personalised learning environments while streamlining administrative tasks, giving educators more time to focus on what matters most – teaching.

Cash prizes await ‘Most Innovative AI Classroom’ Projects

The programme offers hands-on training in AI tools, ethical responsibility, and ideation, led by expert mentors. Teachers across the UAE are invited to attend this free programme, ensuring a broad and inclusive approach to AI in education. Additionally, cash prizes of up to AED 5,000 will be awarded for the most innovative AI classroom projects.
