Funds raised at the gala will be directed to Dubai Cares to support a UNICEF India program aimed at providing equitable and inclusive education for most vulnerable children, with a focus on children with special needs. The program focuses on early disability detection, expanding learning access, promoting inclusive classrooms, engaging parents in home-based learning, and leveraging evidence to scale successful practices. The gala aims to create a significant impact by bridging the gap between art and social impact.

Art be a Part’s support for the program comes as part of its initiative called SpArK (Special Art for Kids), which focuses on supporting organisations working towards providing educational opportunities for underprivileged children in India and empowering them with meaningful opportunities to overcome barriers.

“We are deeply moved by the power of art to inspire change and create a positive impact on the lives of children. This year’s gala is not just a celebration of creativity, but a crucial opportunity to raise awareness and funds for Dubai Cares and UNICEF India through the SpArK Initiative, which focuses on underprivileged children with special needs. Since 2021, Art be a Part has successfully raised over AED 1 million for Dubai Cares and UNICEF India through the auction of more than 60 artworks, and we are poised to exceed this achievement at the Art be a Part Gala 2024. Together, through our shared passion for art and philanthropy, we can build a brighter future for those who need it most,” said Medha Nanda, Founder of Art be a Part.

His Excellency Dr. Tariq Al Gurg, Chief Executive Officer and Vice-Chairman of Dubai Cares, said: “Our partnership with Art be a Part emphasises the transformative power of art in empowering children with special needs. In addition to fostering creativity, art also serves as a bridge for inclusion, helping break down barriers and raise awareness about the unique challenges these children face. By engaging the art community, we are creating meaningful opportunities for them to contribute to sustainable solutions that ensure every child has access to quality education that enables them to thrive and reach their full potential.”

“UNICEF India is grateful for the continued support of Art be a Part and thrilled to have the support of artists, philanthropists, and the broader community in the upcoming gala. Through the transformative power of art and united by a common goal, we aim to make a meaningful impact on the lives of the most vulnerable children. Together, we hope to pave the way for brighter futures and greater opportunities for those who need it most,” said Rahul Bansal, Chief a.i. Resource Mobilization & Partnerships, UNICEF India.

The gala will feature a live auction of 15+ exclusive pieces, curated by Neel Shukla, the founder of Four Seasons Ramesh Gallery, including works from renowned artists such as Spanish American Domingo Zapata, Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s artist son Rocco Ritchie, Emirati artist Maryam Sharaf Alhashmi, famous sculptor and son of Anthony Quinn; Lorenzo Quinn, celebrity portrait photographer Lorenzo Agius, reclaimed Indian Artist Paresh Maity and Andrew Wallace from Alexandra New Zealand, an artist with cerebral palsy who has donated 3 artworks to Art be a Part.

In addition, a silent auction, powered by Artiana Gallery, will begin online on November 1st, 2024, featuring 30+ pieces from both established and emerging artists from all around the world like Turks and Caicos islander Bradley Theodore, photographer Riyad Gandhy, Emirati Artist Badr Abbas, international artist Tina Gavasheli, and American photographer based in Dubai, UAE Sawyer Franz. The silent auction will run for two weeks, and selected pieces will be showcased at the gala.

The event will gather industrialists, art patrons, and philanthropists dedicated to making a difference. Ellington Properties, as the principal partner, and Bâoli Dubai, the venue partner, will ensure an elegant and impactful evening for all attendees.
