On 2 December, while the UAE will celebrate Eid Al Etihad, seven schools under the International Schools Partnership (iSP) came together this week to commemorate the country’s 53rd National Day, paying tribute to its enduring spirit of unity, progress, and innovation.
On this historic day in 1971, the nation declared its independence, marking the beginning of an extraordinary journey of growth and transformation. Taking inspiration from this milestone, The Aquila School, Aspen Heights British School, The English College, Star International School – Mirdif, Star International School – Al Twar, Nibras International School, Reach British School and the iSP group hosted an array of cultural and educational activities including traditional Al-Ayyala dancing, live food stalls, henna applications, camel rides, falcon shows and games highlighting key historic events.
Students, staff, and parents came together to honour the UAE’s heritage, values, and aspirations. Each school emphasised the importance of diversity and inclusivity, mirroring the UAE’s vision for the future. Through these celebrations, the iSP schools and group reaffirmed their commitment to fostering a sense of community and pride in the country’s remarkable legacy among the next generation of talent.
“At iSP, we are proud to join the UAE community in celebrating Eid Al Etihad. These landmark occasions provide a wonderful opportunity to honour the country’s achievements and instil in our students and colleagues an appreciation for the UAE’s rich history and culture, as we look towards an even brighter future,” said Khulood Albedwawi, Emiratisation Lead – iSP Middle East Region.
Moved by curiosity and empowered by self-confidence, students from ISP Schools thrive throughout their lifetime.
