Ajman University Celebrates Excellence at Annual Honours Assembly

Ajman University, a prominent non-profit institution in the UAE, celebrated its outstanding students, faculty, staff, partners, and stakeholders at a dazzling Honours Assembly held at the Sheikh Zayed Centre for Conferences and Exhibitions on its campus. The event was a true showcase of excellence, innovation, and collaboration, further solidifying Ajman University’s reputation as one of the leading universities in the UAE and the Arab region.

“The annual Honours Assembly at Ajman University exemplifies excellence in higher education at its finest. By embracing unique and innovative approaches in teaching, academics, research, industry collaboration, and societal impact, Ajman University, in partnership with its esteemed stakeholders, continues to achieve new milestones of academic distinction while contributing to the UAE’s vision of a knowledge-driven society,” stated Dr Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University.

750 students with Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals for exceptional academic performance and innovation

More than 750 undergraduate students from various colleges and programmes were recognised with Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals for their exceptional performance, reflecting academic brilliance, creativity, and innovation on a global scale.

17 faculty members were recognised among the top 2% of scientists globally by Stanford University

The faculty awards were equally noteworthy, with 17 faculty members recognised among the top 2% of scientists worldwide by Stanford University. Prof Sai Boddu received the Highly Cited Researcher Award by Clarivate. Additional categories included teaching excellence, research excellence, service excellence, internationalisation, instructor excellence, adjunct faculty excellence, managerial excellence, staff excellence, support service excellence, and alumni excellence in engagement.

The stakeholder awards were a standout feature of the Honours Assembly. Aafaq Islamic Finance was named Top Corporate Strategic Partner, while the Department of Finance, Government of Ajman, received the Top Public Sector Employer Award. Tafaseel was recognised as the Top Employer in the Private Sector, and AW Rostamani Group received the Societal Impact Award. Rashid Hamad Al Hamar, General Manager of the Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla Charitable and Humanitarian Establishment, was honoured with the Top Individual Strategic Partner Award for his invaluable contributions to the University.

These awards underscore Ajman University’s dedication to academic excellence, research, and internationalisation, while reaffirming its role as a world-class incubator of talent and employability.
