Darren Jones Appointed New Principal of BC Academy International School
“At BC Academy, I aim to lead with a collaborative and forward-thinking approach, ensuring our students excel academically while developing the skills, confidence, and character needed for life beyond school,” says Darren Jones.
Darren Jones studied chemistry at the University of Wales, Swansea, where he obtained his Master’s degree in 2004. He then pursued a PGCE in Secondary Education and a Master’s in Educational Leadership. As an international educator, Darren has taught at top institutions in London, the UAE, Jordan, and Malaysia, gaining substantial experience leading both curriculum and pastoral teams.
Now back in Dubai, a place he calls home, Darren is excited to join BC Academy International School as Principal. His creative flair and eye for detail have allowed him to develop innovative curricula, particularly focused on high-performance learning. Darren has consistently raised standards in teaching and learning by collaborating with colleagues and building capacity within his teams, fostering thriving learning communities.
