Beaconhouse Al Khaleej International School (BAKIS), an American Curriculum school that is part of the Global Beaconhouse Education system, has appointed Ms Rania Amaireh as its new Principal.
Ms Amaireh has spent the last 17 years at various international schools in UAE and, having vast experience in educational leadership and school management, has helped them in their paradigm shift towards improvement and excellence. She joined Beaconhouse Al Khaleej in 2019, as the school’s Vice-Principal.
Rania has a successful background in educational leadership and school management. She obtained multiple leadership degrees from reputable universities in the UK and UAE, including her Master of Education in Leadership and Management from the British University in Dubai, with distinction in 2016. She has also received a second master’s degree in Business Administration with Distinction, in 2020, from the University of Bedfordshire in the UK. To ensure compliance with the principalship qualifications and licensing requirements in the UAE, Rania has also obtained the National Professional Qualification of Headship programme in 2020 from the University of College London in the UK.
In addition to her scientific background, Rania is a passionate leader who has an interest in visible learning and inquiry-based learning. She believes in teaching approaches that help her students reach the metacognition level, where they can plan their learning journey through self-monitoring, problem-solving, and self-assessing skills. She has started training her team to apply different visible learning methods for this purpose.

Rania has initiated many successful projects during her leadership journey at Beaconhouse Al Khaleej. Due to her educational and business background, she provided a comprehensive curriculum-led budget plan to improve the school’s infrastructure, learning space, and educational resources.
- New spaces have been designed to improve the well-being of all stakeholders. Some of these include Tricycling KG Park, New Staff Room, and Parents’ Lounge
- New partnerships were initiated with high-quality learning resources providers in the region. Reading and literacy platforms are now being used across grade levels to support the development of reading skills of BAKIS students
