Brighton College Dubai came alive with energy and unity as pupils, parents, and educators gathered for the annual, joyous Run for a Reason 2025. Held on Friday, January 24th, the event brought the community together dressed as superheroes, running to make a difference for those in need.
This year’s initiative raised funds to support the ‘Wellness on Wheels’ programme by the Al Jalila Foundation, the UAE’s first charitable mobile healthcare clinic. The programme provides essential medical care to senior citizens, blue-collar workers, people of determination, orphans, and other underprivileged individuals across the country.
From as early as 7am, participants arrived in superhero costumes, ready to take to the track. After a spirited warm-up session, families, teachers and pupils from Senior School, Prep, and Pre-Prep ran with determination and joy, knowing their efforts were making a tangible difference.
Mr. Simon Crane, Head Master of Brighton College Dubai commented: “There is something truly magical about seeing our entire community come together like this. ‘Run for a Reason’ is about more than raising funds – it’s about inspiring compassion, showing our pupils the power of collective action, and making a tangible difference in people’s lives. We are honoured to partner with Al Jalila Foundation and contribute, in a small way, to their life-saving efforts.”
The event’s success was further made possible through the generous support of sponsors Backlite Media and Kibsons, who helped create a memorable experience for all attendees.
The annual Run for a Reason reflects Brighton College Dubai’s commitment to instilling empathy and purpose among its pupils while delivering a fun and impactful community event. Superheroes of all ages left the campus with a sense of accomplishment, having combined fitness, fun, and philanthropy in one unforgettable morning.
