Fortes Education, a leading education provider in the UAE, is set to open two much-needed Prep-School environments in JBR and the Palm Jumeirah in September 2022.
The award-winning Fortes Education Group comprises top British Schools, Sunmarke School and Regent International School, and Jumeirah International Nurseries, one of the leading British Nursery brands in the UAE since 1981.
Jumeirah International Nurseries (JINS) currently has 5 vibrant branches for children aged 45 days to five years old that are located across Dubai in Emaar’s The Greens, Al Safa, Downtown, JVT, and Mirdif and is launching a further 2 branches in the thriving areas of The Villanova Community and Ibn Battuta Mall this coming September.
In addition to this, the Group will also open their 8th and 9th branches, named ‘Jumeirah International Early Childhood Centres’, in Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) and the Palm Jumeirah respectively, with the opportunity to cater to a new five to six-year-old age group.
A School Level Education
Katrina Mankani, Managing Director of Jumeirah International Nurseries and Early Childhood Centres, commented on the new growth plans and said: “It is our belief that an early year’s education should be inspiring, dynamic and easily accessible for all children in Dubai. We are, therefore, very excited to be opening not one – but four new branches in these convenient locations in Dubai for the next academic year.
Our vision is to bring a customised school-level education to children in the JBR and Palm communities, ensuring that the curriculum and academic programmes in FS1, FS2 and the Prep-School Year (the Transition Year for five to six-year-olds) are aligned with the standards followed at our Outstanding BSO Certified Schools, Sunmarke and Regent.”
Dr Neil Hopkin, Executive Principal at Fortes Education, mentioned the collaboration between Jumeirah International ECC and Fortes Schools “Our specialist EYFS and Primary departments are delighted to be working closely with the Jumeirah International Early Childhood Centre team where all FS1, FS2 and Primary-Prep teaching staff are PGCE qualified and go through a rigorous screening process supported by our Schools.”
Early Childhood Centres will accept babies from as young as 45 days old
Commenting on the new launches, Mrs Samina Khanyari, General Manager of Jumeirah International Nurseries and Early Childhood Centres said: “We are very happy to be supporting families in these areas and providing them with a premium school-quality education that is much closer to home.
We are proud to offer a personalised learning experience for children up to aged 6, as well as the benefit of extended timings for our children. A typical day for Foundation Stage 1 and 2 children aged three to five years at school ends at 1.00 pm and at 3.00 pm for five to six-year-olds – however Jumeirah International ECC families will have the flexibility of having wraparound care up until 6.00 pm, Monday through to Friday, so this is extremely convenient for families, especially for our working parents”.
Seamless Transition to Top Schools of Dubai in three Curricula
Jumeirah International Early Childhood Centre also has strong ties with top IB School, North London Colligate School (NLCS) and American Curriculum School, Clarion, allowing for multiple options once completing Foundation Stage Two or the Prep–School Year at one of the Centres.
Mrs Katrina Mankani said: “In addition to our affiliate British Curriculum Schools, we are happy to work with NLCS and Clarion to give parents a varied choice of curricula once their children graduate from our centres.
“To ensure that our learners are confident and prepared for any school once they reach 6 of age, we have adopted the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) that is aligned to meet or exceed the standards of all major education systems making it the most internationally accepted ECE curriculum in the world. From Singapore Math to UK Literacy, the IPC has had to meet some of the most stringent standards to be truly international.”
With a reputation for trust and innovation, the four new branches opening in September 2022 have been purposely designed with a key focus on wellbeing and innovation
A Place for All
The inspiring Early Childhood Centres will accept babies from as young as 45 days old and will embrace the individuality of each child until the age of six, making it a place where all children can progress and develop based on their unique interests, abilities and aptitude. The learning environments are enhanced with elements of Reggio Emilia and The Curiosity Approach to bring hands-on learning experiences to life.
To support children with enriching learning opportunities beyond academics, the centres will also offer specialist language programmes in Arabic, French, and Russian, as well as extensive extracurricular activities such as Gymnastics, Ballet, Drama, Gardening, Music Lessons, Football, Judo, STEAM and Robotics, plus a Healthy Eating Programme.

With a reputation for trust and innovation, the four new branches opening in September 2022 have been purposely designed with a key focus on wellbeing and innovation. Samina Khanyari, explains: “Each branch has been designed by world-renowned architects and our early years’ educators.
Our Early childhood Centres in JBR and Palm Jumeirah will feature a ‘Zig-Zag Zoom’ courtyard area that is an exploratory space based on the concepts of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics).
We are extremely excited to open our new Centres and to offer parents who are looking for the ability to personalise their children’s academic journeys in a premium high-quality education setting. What we have coming is something truly unique to the JBR and Palm communities.”
