His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, has introduced the Hamdan bin Mohammed Academic Scholarship Programme, a groundbreaking initiative to support the higher education of outstanding Emirati graduates from public and private schools in the UAE. With an endowment of AED 1.1 billion and an annual commitment to 100 students, the programme stands as a beacon of opportunity for young Emirati students.
The programme provides financial support and ensures that talented individuals have access to prestigious international universities and specialised courses aligned with the needs of Dubai’s evolving economy. The benefits of the programme include full coverage of tuition fees at the most prestigious international universities; annual travel ticket allowance; monthly stipend; and graduation expenses allowance.
Applicants who meet ALL of the following eligibility criteria can apply for the scholarship:
- Citizens of the United Arab Emirates who hold a family book from Dubai
- High school graduates aged 17 to 20 who completed their secondary studies in 2022-2023 or 2023-2024, either in the UAE or abroad
- Students who have received or will receive a conditional or an unconditional offer of admission to a specific major and university, including a specific start date and study duration
- Students who have not received any other scholarships from any entity, whether inside or outside the UAE
