New Schools Set to Open in Dubai and Abu Dhabi Starting from 2024/2025

These new schools are designed to meet the increasing demand for high-quality education in the UAE, offering a range of curricula including British, American, and International Baccalaureate programmes


GEMS Founders School, Dubai South

This new branch of the GEMS Founders School is opening in Dubai South, near Expo City. It will initially serve students from FS1 to Year 8, with a planned capacity of 2,500 students. The school will offer the UK curriculum and plans to expand to Year 13 in the coming years.


GEMS Founders School, Masdar City, Abu Dhabi

Located in the eco-friendly Masdar City, this school will open with a capacity of 2,100 students from FS1 to Year 8, eventually expanding to Year 13. The school emphasises sustainability, with a net-zero energy campus.


Dubai British School, Jumeira

This new addition to the Taaleem group’s portfolio will open in Al Safa, Dubai. It will offer the UK curriculum and is expected to accommodate 1,600 students, initially covering FS1 to Year 6.


Noya British School, Abu Dhabi

This school will be located on Yas Island and is part of Aldar Education’s expansion. It will offer the British curriculum to around 2,300 students from FS1 upwards.


Al Ain English Speaking School (AAESS)

Al Ain English Speaking School (AAESS), Abu Dhabi, established in 1978, has joined Cognita,’s leading global schools group. The school serves a diverse community of 2,000 students from Nursery through to Sixth Form and employs 250 staff.


Ignite School, Dubai

Ignite School is expanding with five new campuses across Dubai, providing American curriculum education while incorporating UAE and Islamic values.


Gordonstoun Abu Dhabi

Scheduled to open in 2024, this prestigious UK-based school will bring its educational approach to Abu Dhabi, offering a blend of the UK curriculum and UAE Ministry of Education standards, with a capacity of 2,000 students.


Rashid Latifah School, Dubai

The school of the Dubai elite is set to reopen in 2024, offering a UK and MOE curriculum with a capacity for 2,000 students. This prestigious institution aims to provide high-quality education within a modern, supportive environment.
