As technology continues to transform education, Star International School Mirdif is leading the way with TechFest 2025—a pioneering, free conference dedicated to advancing the use of technology in classrooms in a purposeful and ethical manner.
Taking place on 12 April 2025, from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, TechFest will bring together educators, EdTech innovators, and STEAM leaders from across the UAE and beyond. Hosted at Star Mirdif—an ISP Lab School known for its cutting-edge approach to education—the event aims to equip educators with the tools, strategies, and insights needed to enhance student learning, well-being, and digital safety.
More than just a conference, TechFest 2025 is the first event of its kind within the International Schools Partnership (ISP). It will showcase groundbreaking findings from Lab School pilots and offer a platform for educators to share their experiences and best practices. The event will focus on real-world applications of technology and how they can be seamlessly integrated into teaching and learning.

- 15-minute Insightful Talks from educators and tech leaders
- Keynote Address: A Lab School lead from Spain will present on Flash Academy, an innovative platform supporting multilingual learners
“TechFest is about more than showcasing tools—it’s about rethinking how technology can truly support learners,” says Clive Gibson, Assistant Principal and EdTech Lead at Star Mirdif. “We want educators to walk away with not just ideas, but practical ways to implement them.”
In line with its commitment to making innovation accessible, TechFest 2025 is completely free for educators. Attendees will have the opportunity to network, collaborate, and even contribute by leading a talk or workshop.
